UT fans don't care enough about Kentucky to spend time trolling their chat boards. How bad does it suck to be a fan of a perennially irrelevant team that will always be inferior to the team you're trying to insult. They never should have run fiber to his trailer park. Numbnuts.

WestKyCat you must face up to a basic fact when it comes to Football traditions Our Stadium is Neyland Stadium, named after General Robert Neyland. A name of Pride, Honor and adoration by the fans.. awarded the Distinguished Service Medal and the Legion of Merit and made a member of the Order of the British Empire in WWII Your stadium is named after a grocery store chain. What is it Piggle-Wiggly Stadium? Houchens Stadium? I forget

And the ignorant hick throws a tantrum when I bring up his porcine love interest. I obviously hit a nerve with my reference to his illicit animal husbandry habit. What does it say about Kentucky when their bottom feeder football team can't beat UT when we're at our worst? It says your football program sucks - just like they have for over a century and always will. They've never won jack squat. I doubt anyone in our great state ever relied on your little pissant garden for a speck of food. Spare us the pretense of adequacy, Mr. Green Jeans. You assume other people are overweight and out of shape? I'm sure that tractor driving physique is a real turn on for the females in the pen, especially at slop time. I'd love to run into you at a game. That keyboard courage would fade real fast when you had to back up that dumbass mouth. It always amazes me how the most ignorant fans of other teams want to go to a rival board and prove their stupidity. Do yourself a favor and just STFU, numbnuts. I'm sure there's a Kentucky board with equally stupid folks just like you. There you'll be right at home and won't look quite as stupid.

Surprised he got anything at all. You knew this would be a joke. Three games? TCU being the only real game. I like the have no contact rule. Who actually monitors that? Give me a break.

Hmmm... A hit and run troll job by my old friend West. So sad, I'd have never thought it. Anyway, I have changed my mind. What if the Vols come out next week and curb stomp BYU? Will that make the GaSt game a throwaway? Had the Vols won, would it have helped us all that much? Other than the stink, since we lost did it really hurt us that much? I don't know what the team goals for the season actually are, but realistically, have they came to an end after this one game? Here's what I can't get off of my mind. After giving GaSt their first seven points, the Vols offense tied the game by going 78 yds in 16 plays. Then after holding GaSt to 3 and out, went up 14-7 by going 46 yds in 5 plays. And made it look easy. And right then, was I the only one who thought the rout was on? So, what are we to think? Did GaSt suddenly decide to play inspired football for the rest of the game, while the Vols took a trip to funkytown at the same time? Or, did the UT coaches see all they needed to see, and opted to practice mode? By my count the Vols played no less than 13 freshmen. And for the rest of the game they rotated players after every play, on both sides of the ball. Our leading tackler was Henry To'o To'o, a freshman. Darnell Wright and Wanya Morris, both freshmen, played for practically the whole game. It's starting to look like CJP has his mind set that getting his recruits in the game early will pay off in the future. For myself it explains a lot. Otherwise the Vols just became a worse football team in Pruitts second year. And I can't bring myself to believe that. What I do believe is that Pruitt has made it no secret that he's going to flip this roster. And adding to that, there's an element of upper classmen who have come to realize that their bound to be recruited over, perhaps before they graduate. What that means is we are still in a difficult transition, and It's going to take, as we've all said before, a few recruiting cycles to reach positive results. At times it might be difficult to watch. But I'm still thinking about going to the BYU game. Got a couple of free tickets in QQ. Decent seats, might as well use'em. Just in case anybody's still reading tl;dr, and especially if it's WestKyCat, now I'm pi$$ed off. Sat up late to watch the replay, and SEC Network has changed the programming to the damn Kentucky/Toledo game. Myself, I'd rather watch pigs fu*k. Here's y'all something to read though. It's not often that a local recruit gets much Columbia media coverage if he's not going to the Cocks or Clemson but Hyatt & his choice got some attention on TV & in the paper the other day. Dutch Fork is a powerhouse not only in state but nationally.

Grant Williams isn’t the only Tennessee addition made by the Boston Celtics this offseason. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Thursday afternoon that former Lady Vols star and ESPN commentator Kara Lawson has been hired by the Celtics as an assistant coach. Lawson, who played at Tennessee from 1999-2003, spent 12 years in the WNBA, winning a title in 2005 and earning All-Star honors in 2007 before transitioning to the broadcast booth at ESPN. She helped Team USA win gold in the 2008 Olympic games in Beijing and gold in the World University Games in Beijing in 2001. In the WNBA, Lawson played for the Sacramento Monarchs (2003-09), Connecticut Sun (2010-13) and Washington Mystics (2014-15). With the Celtics, she’ll coach alongside Brad Stevens, Boston’s head coach since 2013, after he was hired away from Butler after a six-year stint with the Bulldogs. Boston selected Williams with the 22nd overall pick in the first round of last week’s NBA Draft, one of three Tennessee selections that had their names called. Admiral Schofield went 42nd overall to the Washington Wizards and Jordan Bone was picked at No. 57 overall, landing with the Detroit Pistons. Tennessee fired Lady Vols head coach Holly Warlick on March 27 and Lawson was a name mentioned by many as a candidate before athletic director Phillip Fulmer ultimately hired Kellie Harper. Lawson isn't alone as a female being hired to coach with an NBA franchise. Nancy Lieberman was hired in 2009 to be the head coach of the Texas Legends, an NBA Developmental League team, the Los Angeles Clippers hired Natalie Nakase as assistant video analyst and Becky Hammon has been successful in her role as assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs.

I'm with you on the three year gig. Last year he had to dance with the ones that brung him. This year we should see marked improvements. Next year must be the "Come to Jesus" year for our program. We've waited long enough. I hate CJP must be under the microscope, but he's being well compensated and he knew what he was signing up for when he took the job. As for Chaney, I couldn't be more pleased with his hire. If he can coach the line, the rest will take care of itself. Vandy is and always will be Vandy. That's just a smudge on our record that we'll have to live with. In the words of Poe, "Nevermore".

My 2 cents for what it's worth: Holly has earned more than enough cred to be given the chance to coach thru the season. And if she is let go, I would expect there are quite a few major conference women's hoops programs that would jump at the chance to hire her.

The best part of it all is the fact that Butchy was denied a NC ring. That was as close as he’ll ever get to one.

I watched a little of their game with Mizzou. From what I saw I was impressed with how the Tigers OL went toe-to-toe with them on the line, did a decent job of blocking, showed good teamwork and opened some holes. If the Vols could get that kind of effort out of their line I'd give them a chance to keep it close but from the keystone kops show they put on against the gators I'm not expecting it. I'm with you Rob, I don't expect miracles this year but at some point it would be nice to see some progress to at least give us hope that things will get turned around eventually. But not this week. Kirby can probably name his score.

I think most people capable of critical thinking are aware that the majority of law enforcement officers and officials are motivated by professionalism and dedication to making a positive difference, or at least hope they are. Which makes it even sadder that the rotten apples get the headlines. I don't consider CK a hero or a traitor. More along the lines of the lunch counter protesters or freedom riders of days gone by. They didn't consider themselves heroes, just people who had had enough and had the guts to call attention to a problem that many Americans at the time didn't care about and were quite happy to ignore. Because it didn't affect them personally. It's true injustice and police brutality have and probably always will exist to some extent. But it doesn't mean those who are victims or perceived as potential threats because of their race have to take it without complaint because those guilty of abuse of authority are in the minority. Time will tell if anything positive comes of CK's act but sometimes you have to shake things up to make a real difference. Just ask the people who had their bus burned in Alabama.

It's not hard to believe that once the shit hit the fan OSU was more concerned about public image & maintaining status quo for the football team. But at the end of the day Smith is a wife-beater, Urbie's a not very convincing liar and OSU is reacting to the whole stinking mess about as expected so no good guys in this story. Just assholes and at least one victim. BTW, as a married guy myself, isn't Urbie's tale about Smith's wife telling the whole sordid story to his wife but his wife never saying a word about it to him laugh out loud ridiculous?
