  • Key areas the Vols need to get better in against Florida?

Here are some areas I think the Vols need to definitely improve in if they have a chance against Florida this Saturday:   Improve the Pass Rush - There has not been a strong presence along the D Line in the first 3 games in my opinion. Get some stunts and maybe some LB blitzes to apply some pressure. Reduce the mental errors - While the Vols put up 500 yards of total offense last weekend, they only could muster 24 points. Much was caused by unforced mental errors. Got to get that in check Better Offensive Line Run Blocking - JG hasn't been sacked much but the run blocking has not been physical enough outside of T. Smith. Get WRs more involved - Whether it be Jet sweeps, quick hitches to start out get Jennings, Palmer and Calloway engaged early. Short hitches will build JGs confidence and also pull the secondary up on the quick passes and open up possible bigger plays downfield.
Anyone got anymore? I think these are the biggest ones

    Back for my annual week...

As you may know, I'm not a big trash talker when it comes to this game. And since both teams are in a similar place, you definitely won't hear me pronouncing "we're back" or anything of the like.  I do think Mullen is a massive upgrade for us over Mac and I think the same with Pruitt vs Jones. Pruitt is a good recruiter and having the Saban experience didn't hurt him.  I have no idea what will happen in this game. Both teams are 2-1. Both teams have played 2 teams that are not great and have looked good at times and looked bad at times. And both have a loss to an opponent that's better. I think many expected WVU to beat Tennessee, but we didn't think we'd lose to Kentucky. But when you don't have great line play and the other team does, they often win. Kentucky was the better team that day and they may prove to be better at season's end. There is a long way to go.  Here's to a fun week of talk and to hoping that both teams come out relatively unscathed. I think both of these teams are playing for third in the SEC East this year, unless I'm missing something. LOL!

Tennessee RB trash talks Florida WR

The Tennessee Volunteers finally start conference play on Saturday, and it comes in the form of one of their most hated rivals, the Florida Gators. While the matchup features new coaches and players, they all understand that this is one of the SEC’s most storied rivalries … even the true freshmen. Tennessee running back Jeremy Banks started the trash talk on Monday, when he posted a photo with Florida receiver Jacob Copeland from a recruiting visit on his Instagram story, with the caption, “We coming for ya neck this week slime!!! You should’ve joined us.” According to 247Sports, Copeland committed to Florida on 2018’s National Signing Day, Tennessee and Florida were among his final three schools. Copeland has previously decommitted from Florida and took an official visit to Tennessee, but he ended up re-committing. His commitment on live T.V. was a memorable one, as some of his family members including his mother were seen wearing Tennessee gear even though Copeland decided to put on the Florida hat.   Tennessee RB trash talks Florida WR ahead of Saturday’s matchup WWW.SATURDAYDOWNSOUTH.COM Let the trash talk begin!
