How many big NIL deals have you heard about at UT? Somebody better explain to that bunch on The Hill it how it is done. We are going to get left even farther behind. Alabama has been buying a professional team for years. Now they don't have to hide it. aTm caught them off guard with this spending spree. I said that on another forum this morning. I am a long time donor. I do not mind continuing to donate to pay for the kid in a backup role with no NIL deal. Every nickel they have spent has came back home dressed up like a quarter. National championship teams are like printing your own money. They fill stadiums even if they are on the other side of the country. Hat and t-shirt sales alone are worth a fortune. Not to mention the free publicity from sports media. The fan base swells and people will buy anything with the school logo on it. UT simply does not understand the economics of spending money to make money. We are about to get left in the dust while UT squeezes that dollar. Don't worry though. They are adding more "premium seating" to the stadium to make a few bucks.
