Vols pick up late commitment for 2020 in LB Isaiah Gaddy

Recommended Posts

This looks like an experiment player. Will need some development but has some talent.

Outside linebacker Isaiah Gaddy out of Neumann-Goretti High School in Philadelphia, Pa. committed to the Vols Monday. He became the 24th commitment for a class that finished in the top 10 on National Signing Day back in February.

A two-star on Rivals, Gaddy is unrated on 247Sports and 247Sports composite. It’s not clear yet if he will be a walk-on or a scholarship player. He announced his commitment to Tennessee football on Twitter.

Despite his low ratings, Gaddy clearly seems like an overlooked prospect. After all, he was fielding offers from the Texas A&M Aggies and the N.C. State Wolfpack, so there were some top-notch programs who were keeping an eye on him.

It could be that Gaddy got surprisingly bigger later in the recruiting process. After all, he is listed at 6’2″ 210 pounds on Rivals, but on 247Sports, which usually updates sizes more frequently, he is up to 6’2″ 230 pounds
