Vols add Jones from transfer portal

Recommended Posts

Former 3 Star wr from fort Lauderdale.

Nice little pick up with the loss of the wrs

Jones was part of Nebraska’s 2018 signing class and chose the Huskers over offers from teams like Mississippi State, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Wisconsin, and others. The 5-foot-8, 175-pound receiver appeared in one game in 2018 for Nebraska, catching one pass for 21 yards and gaining five yards on a rush. He suffered a season-ending injury that year and redshirted. Jones appeared in four games for Nebraska in 2019, though he failed to record any stats.

Right now, it’s not expected that Jones will be eligible for the upcoming 2020 season and will have to sit out a year. It’s also unclear if Jones is a walk-on or a scholarship player, but either way he likely won’t be eligible till the 2021
