Tennessee Vandy game memories

Recommended Posts

1995.  Living in Florida, we came up for Thanksgiving and see family.  Our baby girl was only 9 months old and our son was 4.  Mom, being a UT grad and long time donor had a couple of tickets she would trade for the grand kids. It took a little convincing to get the wife to leave the babies, especially the youngest who had never been apart from her.  It was really cold that day. The wife's first game at Neyland. It was a hard fought defensive struggle with Tennessee coming out on top 12-7.  She had a good time and so did the kids playing with all of their dad's old toys back on the farm.

The "sugar vols" 1985, I was 14 after we beat them at home. I ran down on the field in the middle if the celebration. Ended up on our locker room side and climbed the fence to get in. Charles Davis laughed at me but held the door open and let me in....They were all smoking cigars...Then the coaches kicked me out....lol...I think I learned a few new words that day, turns out I wasn't allowed to use them
