Kamara working to be better all round back
Alvin Kamara, like most who play his position, is happiest when the ball’s in his hands.
To be a complete running back, though, Kamara knows he needs to be better when the ball’s not is his hands. That’s why the Tennessee junior-to-be didn’t hesitate when asked to identify his biggest point of emphasis this spring.
“I’m really working with my hands in pass protection,” Kamara said after the Vols’ weekend scrimmage in Neyland Stadium. “That’s one thing that I struggled with a little bit last year, just my hand placement and pass protection and recognition. I worked a lot with that this this spring, and I’ve gotten a lot better with that.”
A lot better? Yes.
A finished product? No.
“I’ve still got to get some good work on it this spring, and we’ve still got another week left,” Kamara added. “I can still continue to work and watch film and get better.”
