The reporter asked that question on purpose. Trying to drag out who's fighting who. Bad attempt.

UT's appointment letter to AD Phillip Fulmer says UT suspended John Currie with pay pending an investigation related to termination for cause under article IX.

Fulmer will be paid $575,000 annually.

His appointment has no "definitive term" according to appointment letter.

We still have three 4* defensive lineman committed and a 4* quarterback.  Something tells me that with the right coach in place Cade Mays comes back.  All is not lost but Fulmer needs to get to work immediately!

It might be a 'bring back the band' scenario.... Tee (HC) + Steele or Chavis (DC)...can't put my finger on who the OC might be in that scenario.

These 3 will all come.

Also, do not take Cutcliffe (HC) out of the equation either, he might be in play with Fulmer there to calm the storm for 2-3+ more years...and slant Tee to (OC /Asst HC) + Steel or Chavis (DC).

Also, I'm hearing a couple or more VFL's might be employed to coach and recruit it up.

Again, these are possibilities, and might be the best route some feel...whatever happens, Fulmer's gonna pull together what he thinks best long-term.

Going 'outside the band' might be tougher... kinda hairy because I think his AD understanding is 2 years, maybe for a legal purposes, based on the fact that it might take a while to fire Currie for 'cause', thus why Davenport said Currie's 'suspended for cause'...I'm not an attorney (but refer to how the Petino case worked out), but if you sign a multi year, multi year contract with Fulmer, that might effect the Currie 'cause'...or cause an 'appearance' of something that throws a wrench in the 'suspense for cause' so they can null and void his terms and agreement.

Currie was apparently asked to come back from LA a couple of days ago, and he didn't...so who knows. And a total rumor here, heard he may have be searching for a new job.

I agree. I have no clue, I think it might be quiet until early next week or so.

Tonight will be Tee’s last game as an OC at USC...that’s my helicopter dick prediction. Will UT get him or will he fly off to somewhere other than Knoxville?

Good calls guys! I am not sure how or who knew what but this has played out well. Now what will Fulmer do? Bring back glory to Tennessee using old school Tennessee stuff OR allow the boosters to bring in the guy we will not call by name?

This will get interesting
