Lane Kiffin hadn’t coached at Tennessee for two years, but was taking the blame for anything and everything wrong with the Volunteers until a shocking event last November.

The weasels will never understand Southern football. Waste of breath talking to them. Hated for life.

Tale of 2 idiots. Bruce Pearl inadvertently saves the weasels ass by throwing barbecue. Pearl lied, the administration backed him, this pissed of the NCAA, they want him bad now but are afraid leveling huge sanctions would set a precedence they did not want, the administrations hand falls apart when violations are found in the football investigation, NCAA uses these violations as a hammer on the head of the administration, administration seeks to make a deal to protect the football program, NCAA levels no sanctions against the football program and Pearl is served up like a spring chicken, exposed and without protection the NCAA throws the book at Pearl while the weasel is having fun in the sun in California.

I cant stand the sight of the guy, but i have to ask the question

USC is rated 1 or 2 in next years polls.....Would the weasels have been successful in turning Tennessee around in the same way?

Its a lot easier to recruit in California than it is in Tennessee. We have to cherry pick from many different states while the weasel can recruit a top 10 class from California alone. Its a lot tougher even with a name like Tennessee to market.

Why of course he would. Didn't he always say he wanted to make Tennessee the USC of the east?

I thought the "pipeline to the NFL" thing was working for recruiting. They were getting the attention of the major recruits. I think they were probably tromping on the rules but that probably got them equal to Auburn and Alabama our competition. I hated his big mouth, the UF thing about Urban cheating was weak. I was never impressed with his game day coaching ability or his play calling. Bottom line is he would have restored talent to the program and probably we would have had to endure NCAA sanctions to pay for it. All in all glad he is gone, still will always have hate available for him.
